Graham Greene and the red tailed hawk only have cameo roles…but they shine…& so do the rest. An effecting flick, really. There’s a point near the end, when Joe the Gardener sees the message the hawk is carrying, where the film score (which is actually by Yves Chamberland) sounds like something db might have composed.
