I met Tester at a Fourth of July fireworks party.  He seemed like a decent enough guy, a pretty typical eastern Montana farmer and state legislator, someone who could easily be from Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, either of the Dakotas etc.

I asked him, since I've spent time in D.C., if he'd visited Washington and, if so, why in the world he'd want to move there.  He agreed that the place sucks but said that somebody had to go there and take care of business for a change.

I don't think the haircut is going to change.
