…just thought I’d share today’s menu:

•2 marinated turkey breast tenderloins  [after cat fed, still leftovers…so logically

the family bird & 50 lbs. of potatoes went to the rescue mission yesterday.]

•Motley bread stuffing casserole with ground flax seed & just the thing seasonings.

•Traditional, decades perfected mashed russet potatoes [garlic & mascarpone pots. in the offing]

•Your basic mashed yams [not candied; just seasoned, buttered & smashed]

•Deviled Eggs, 7 grain crackers & three cheeses for finger food earlier around the games

•Succotash, green beans, broccoli, fresh cut beats

•Turkey drippings au jus [very lightly creamed & very lightly thickened gravy]

•Chambourcin wines from two local wineries…& memories of good pakalolo sensemelia.

•Fresh handmade pumpkin pie [sweet shelby ocean eyes bakes a bitchin punkin pie]

•Cooked chocolate pudding parfait

...Simple fare for a simple lot.

Some o’ you folks likely ate early…and are perhaps knocked-out on tryptophan

& mediocre football now; we just finished diner, preferring to eat a bit later.

Might be a kick to hear about some of the other dbis family menus, even

just the average everyday non-thanksgiving chowings going down in

your neck of the woods.  …Or not, I ain’t hung-up on the food.

If all is said & done…and the chill is on, then…nevermind.

I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment

while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that

I was more distinguished by that circumstance than

I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.
