Excellent, GMountain, absolutely perfect…thanks for asking…followed by Mexican simple fare and a lot of laughs when my son dripped salsa on his blazer only seconds after I’d suggested he hang it up…and he retorted with, “Come-on, dad, no way I’m slopping any food on this jacket.” Oh, the willful strut for independence.
Listening to [watching] him play timpani, xylophone & dazzling snare with a band four times the size of his high school band, being directed by a director who is just this side of a superstar in his field [out this way], had me…well, in a heady state for an hour & a half. Today, his 4 piece hard rock/punk/progressive melody infused band will be here putting the tweak on four songs he & the guitar player have been writing for a few months now. So between scholarly music, rock & roll, basketball, little girlies callin him all the time aiming to add teen angst & tender complications to his young life, & a 4.0, he’s a busy cat. All the better for him…I figure (but lot’s of running around for mom & dad.)
So far he hasn’t…flipped-out. :o)
