For closing night of the last play I worked (although after turning the director on to Xavier Rudd he had asked me to play all Xavier for pre-show ambience) I decided to
mix it up a bit by playing Heroes, …Boomtown & Swallowed by the Cracks. ….After curtain call, four people came up to the bridge and asked who was that? & another came up all stoked, “…Hey, f#ckn! David & David…I haven’t heard those songs…in so long, got2 get my hands on that again, WTTB was one of my favorite songs of the 80s!” So for those who dig the tunes, the connection. Good enough, …the songs speak for themselves…whether or not some voting body gets it or gets it’s head stuck up its collective azz. Go to amazon.com & look @ some of the nasty reviews DB received for TRIAGE. Complete opposites of my opinion, these so-called people are like the anti-poignant, & they're dead set on it. & sometimes I wonder what some o the folks on the dbis like about DB’s songwriting, …the fackin catchy southern-blues bass lines or what? Chuckle/sigh. Everybody’s got there own…holes to fill I guess….
[whoops...just dawned on me, that's a permission issue db; mmm...send me the bill...? :o)]
