I need some help. I sold a pair of JBL J216 bookshelf speakers on eBay last month. I had them in the spare bedroom and only used them once a month or so. The buyer just sent me this email;
the woofers cannot move back and forth within thier frame-this is critical in a bass reflex design-there is no bass response.
Is this even possible? They worked fine before I shipped them. I even packed them face to face so the risk of damage to the woofers or tweeters would be minimized. I think this guy is trying to pull a fast one but I'd like to know if this "frozen woofer" syndrome is even plausable.
