I read an excerpt from it about fifteen years ago in the New Yorker:
"Pafko at the Wall", about a World Series game that ended up with a
drunken Jackie Gleason throwing up on Frank Sinatra's shoes.
Absolutely great stuff. It's now part of "Underworld".Ever read "White Noise", "Mao II", or "Libra"? You'd love 'em, especially
"Libra", I think.
