OK historians. How, when, why, where were the seeds sown that people needed to be told by virtue of laws what they can and cannot do? How is it that people don't understand that the more laws written for our "protection" only will create more laws as the lawyers pick apart those laws because of some hole that wouldn't have been there if the law in its perceived inadequacy needs to have more stringent descriptions? As others have said on this board, where is common sense? Where is responsibility for your own actions? Why do people seem to need direction from others all the time? Why do people push the envelope because there doesn't seem to be a law to tell you otherwise and if there isn't a law than it is ok?  I think there must be a song about this somewhere...
