Just one other thought on this. I did some sightseeing around Shanghai today and wound up at the Temple of the Jade Buddha. Interesting place, but as I was walking away from one of the shrines, a couple of twenty-something Chinese approached me and asked if I was from the US. They went on to say that they had been praying for the victims and the survivors, and pointed me to the incense that still lay burning in one of the censers. These folks were from Beijing and expressed their horror and sorrow at this incident.The fact that there appears to be no love lost between the Chinese and Koreans may also factor in to this, but it was rather moving.
