O Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds and whose breath gives life to the world, hear me.

I come to you as one of your many children.  I am small and weak.  I need your strength and your wisdom.

May I walk in beauty.  Make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.  Make my hands respect the things that you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.  Make me wise so that I may know the things you have taught your children, the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. Make me strong, not to be superior to my brothers and sisters, but to be able to conquer my greatest enemy, myself. Make me ever ready to come to You with straight eyes, so that when life fades as the fading sunset, my spirit comes to You without shame.

- Chief Dan George (of the Iroquois)

Thanx kindly for that panoramic shot of an Iroquois village, brother GMountain.  Thoughtful of u, man.  Tender, especially considering the dogma u genuinely champion was the same-same dogma that took them out.  Irony.  We are a people that can come almost full circle, us melting potters.  As a cat born into both bloodlines (the deeply spirited but mostly defeated peoples of the United Kingdom & the deeply spirited but mostly defeated peoples of the USA), it’s been a paradox since birth…trying to understand the battle for tenable land & liberty that’s goin’ down inside m’ skull.

I know u have a good spirit, sir.
