Reign Over Me (’07) […just see it already….]
All the King’s Men (‘07)
A Call to Remember (’97)
The Gangs of New York
Les Misérables
[ † had a chance to re-look at both of these, …dig em still]
The Beach (’01)
[perverse fascination for this one]
Ned Kelly (’03)
[not great but real-good enough]
Shout (‘91)
[I know, I know, but it moved me]
Volver (’06)
[not a beer & pizza flick]
The Cooler (’03)
[sometimes a happy ending…]
[… ↓ two for the gents …]
The Proposition
[not Johnny Walker Black but Johnny Walker Red at least]
Dead Man’s Shoes
[not for the kiddies, not even for the kid at heart]
Children of Men (’06)
Slums of Beverly Hills (’98)
Cadyshack [watched it with m’kids & remembered…]
Grosse Point Blank [is just cool, the play between Ackroyd & Cusack, Cusack & Driver, etc. ]
Broken Flowers (’05) […still don’t quite figure the ending, but this flick is fascinating]
White Hunter Black Heart [finally figured-out how to enjoy it, Clint Eastwood’s rare overacting assault on this story: view it as a play farce on a giant stage]
**** On The Edge (’01) ****
[this is a delightfully twisted little yarn with as eclectic a soundtrack as has ever been and a heavy story ~ excellent performances…yada-yada…the whole enchilada; …I know these people, they live & die in my heart.]
