The different time signatures were great when Vinnie Colaiuta played (Ten Summoner's Tales).  Each release since then has been a little worse I think.  Of the solo albums, I still prefer the first two, with the Marsalis/Kirkland/Jones/Hakim band.  Those guys could really play. 

I was set to go to the Houston show with my cousin, but the $200 tickets and recent shattering of a front windshield (via rocks kicked up from a semi) made it disallowed by the wife.  That's all right . . . I'm no longer a fan of big arena shows anyway.
