After posting this yesterday I got in the car and brought along Charlie Haden's "Beyond the Missouri Sky" disc. I drive by this old bus by the side of the road that always makes me think of McCandless. Haden does a version of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress on it with I think Pat Metheny. It's a potent piece of music you should check out. Leave a guy weeping like a baby hearing it and thinking about Chris McCandless...just a warning on it's effect...or maybe it was just me...
