As much as I hate what our pseudo-2-party system has turned into, I don't hold out much hope that an indy president could get much done with Congress, especially if there is strong control of one party or the other. He (or she) might have trouble getting controversial legislation sponsored, and vetos might be more easily overridden.
But it's a start. Let the enema commence.
