In my opinion, there is very little on cable tv that is actually "worth watching," but there is a great deal that is seductive and addictive, so if you like being seduced and addicted, cable tv is a great thing.

My list of shows "worth watching" is fairly short, but high on that list would be:

The Sopranos (series over) Rome Deadwood (series over) Oz (series over) Carnivale (series over) The Simpsons

But you can get all of these on DVD rentals rather than going for cable or satellite, so I'd suggest exploring any curiosity you may have about such shows in this way.

As for me--well, I've tried to cut the habit, but every time I think I'm out, they PULL me back in again!!!!!
