Sorry for the short initial reply, must have hit the wrong button.
Thanks for the NPR link as I hadn't heard the story though I have thumbed through the book. The video for Redemption Song is indeed moving. God, I friggin love Joe Strummer like no one else who has ever played rock and roll. Warts and all, and he had them, he was cool, and passionate, and curious. Someday we shall share a beer, or several, and toast the man!
