One more time. ( note to self : COPY before trying to post )

David mentioned the book "Nemisis" by Chalmers Johnson. I am currently slogging through the previous effort "Blowback". I am a slow reader and there is a lot to comprehend here. I have "Nemisis" at the ready though.

In a section called "The Nature od Political Terrorism" Chalmers explains the nature of the strategy behind the actions of "the terrorists", as in the ones who flew into the WTC, not the ones we call our own. (USG)

This understanding comes from the writings of Carlos Marighella, the Brazillian Guerilla leader who influenced political terrorism in the 60s and 70s. His writings lay out a startegy for political terrorism which is obviously used as a "handbook" for the creators of unrest today.

The purpose of such an attack as 9/11, according to Carlos, is not to attack America but to attack a "policy". Basically this whole book is to explain in depth what has led to where we are beyond the "in depth" explaination we get from the USG of "they hate us for our freedom".

It has always infuriated me that the USG has never attempted to discuss the policy issues beyond that soundbyte method.

Anyway, the strategy laid out in these writings, basically, is to create with such an attack, a millitary over reaction by the government, thereby setting up a divide between said government and it's people, also to damage credibility in the rest of the world. ( sound familiar ? )

Apparently, Bin Laden is familiar with these writings. My guess is that G.W. is not. The rest of his puppet master team probably is but their own goals prevent them from recognizing or acknowledging these truths.

So, that is what I meant when i said that the terrorists have accomplished their mission regardless of what happens in Iraq at this point. If we attack Iran, it will surely cause another great cheer to rise up from their training camps. ( which aren't in Iraq )

Okay, I'm going to copy this now before it goes "Poof !".
