Someone once said to me, in earnest, that we have pets for our kids because when pets die it helps
kids get used to the idea of death, so that when Grandma dies it's not such a big deal.I said to them that I liked my cat Mimi a lot better than I ever liked my Uncle Don, so I didn't think that
