actually, a more predominant cause of overdose is the issue of tolerance; i.e. after years of use, the brain's dopamine receptors sites are steadily destroyed, thus necessitating higher doses to acheive the desired effect. however, the physical body/central nervous system can't handle the higher workload and so heart attack, respiratory failure etc ensue. my, the things one learns in rehab.
