For the past 14 years or so, I only drink spring water, obtained from source. Since in Maryland, Green Spring Water, based in Clear Spring MD. They got some sort of award as 2nd or 3rd "best" spring water in the nation. It's bottled at source, and tested semi-regularly for the usual impurities. I order it in 3 Gal jugs which I then place on my ceramic drink dispenser (non-chilled), so most of the water at any time is not sitting in the plastic of the container, but of course some of it is. Frederick tapwater is not potable. It smells like some sort of harsh chemical, probably heavily chlorinated. I don't even cook with it, without filtering through my refrigerator line. Disgusting. Worst tapwater ever. I've heard NYC tapwater is excellent though. Reason being, the source is Adirondack lake reservoirs.
