Who would squander a perfect spotting session by suddenly stockpiling a poignant series?
ABC bean-counters would, the bastids. However, there is always DVD.
I gota recommend a film, just one: Finder’s Fee
Directed by Jeff Probst; winner of the Sonoma Valley Film Festival 2002 Breakthrough Director award. You may know him from Survivor, but I don’t ‘cause I don’t watch that lame azz shit; but he’s made a worthy little movie here. Bear in mind, this is not by any stretch a big movie; just this side of Night Gallery. James Earl Jones, Robert Forster, Erik Palladino, Ryan Reynolds, & Carly Pope, oh…& Matthew Lillard for plucky comedic relief.
It’s from the giant little Lions Gate Films, so if you can find it…spin it.
One other strong recommendation: Tape (2001). Not new…but very watchable.
…Also from the indy cleverness of LGF.
