was with a guy in rehab who'd just spent two years in one of those camps in the Phillipines. electroshock was part of their program, the entire approach seemed to be one of 'bad junkie' while they beat you with a stick. spoke with him last week, and he's out drinking & smoking dope already. he was busy pretending he hadn't relapsed [cause he's not smoking meth...yet]. while the core problem here is lack of honesty with oneself, those Phillipine "rehab" prisons were of no help at all.
