Could be Mick, but at least the system is there where the PM has to stand in front of the MPs and listen and answer.  Our sorry excuse for a national leader won't even do that.  Executive Privilege and all that.  Jefferson must be spinning in his grave.

As a general question, given that Bush is now making pseudo-historical references in his speeches trying to regain support for the Iraq fiasco, does anyone know if he's ever invoked a Jeffersonian concept, quote, etc.?  I can't rembemer a time where that has ever happened, and I just can't imagine that this hater of the Constitution and government by the people would ever pander that low.....
