Well, so far this has been a tremendously interesting trip for me, in both a wonderful way (Dave and I seem to have finally learned to respect and support one another, and the music shows that), and a difficult way (Andrea phoned me with the news that our father is not long for this plane.) We've decided to honor him, and fathers everywhere, with a song, which I intend to play for him when I get back to the mainland. There was simply no way to ignore the feelings that that news summoned. Many emotions on this trip.

In practical terms, we've done, or almost done, depending how you look at it, about half of boomtown, and we have written three new songs, including the one that I'm going to sing today for my dad.

Plus I now have a George Hamilton tan.
