About the only way I can offer peace of mind to all those out there who are disappointed in why DB isn't a house hold name is to offer up the rationalization that not all can have good taste and appreciate the good art forms.

Is not the phrase from the Talking Heads "same as it ever was?" Such small phrases are so profound in their simplicity.

One way I struggle with the collective terrible taste and interests of the general US public is to remind myself of knowing what is quality art and what I feel is not. Truley great art forms are rare and something to be savored, appreciated AND respected.

We all want good things for DB and his music but maybe it is just too damn good for the masses of the US and elsewhere and if that is true, then maybe these same masses just don't deserve to hear something this good. And maybe, just maybe, for DB to attain the level of success we would all like to see, he would have to start putting out mediocre material similar to that which is currently being played mostly on radio these days.
