I think this will not go over well with lots of folks though. Basically (even though Rudy has plenty in his closet that makes this look tame) Edwards and his wife have been very public with her fight with cancer and how she is standing by him as strong as ever in his bid to become president. Being realistic, women voters are not going to find Edwards nailing a blonde actress/filmmaker ( http://web.archive.org/web/20060202225431/beingisfree.org/fame.html ) while his wife stands by him and fights cancer very acceptable...hell a lot of guys won't find it acceptable if it's true. They will hang him for it in the media and it will help Hillary more than anyone. Edwards is the favorite to take Iowa, a big jumpstart for a campaign and big media event too (remember Dean and Kerry). Hillary is running second in recent polling in Iowa now...who does she most need out of the way? A win for Hillary in Iowa almost makes her a lock to be the Democrat and the media (that already glows whenever she poops) will swoon. It will be like there is no reason to even hold the rest of the primaries.

The link I included is a link to Rielle Hunter's website and this story is now making the rounds and real fact checking has begun. The blogsphere is chatting it up and the wingnuts are doing what they always do and claiming the MSM is not covering this story...this is their trade off for Craig and Vitter don't you know.

Hopefully it's bullshit but I'm sure we'll know within the next 12 hours. This shit happens fast and even if it's fake it's designed to test the waters to see how much damage it creates for Edwards.
