Disclaimer: This isn't directed at anyone here, or anyone in particular at all, it just an observation.

My wife is a Red Sox fan. The morning after game two I dialed up a local stations web site(because it loads quick, our rabbit ears won't pull it in). Anyhow it was 6-6 when the lights went out and of course it didn't end up to the Mrs liking but I was struck by how many options were of the video kind. I was getting frustrated I couldn't find any 'words'.

It struck me this is a trend that could very easily lead to a less than literate populace.

(I'll allow someone else the pleasure of the drum roll.)

Perhaps someone who's more familiar with the overall youtube phenomenon could offer up an assessment of the make-up of video content: is it weighted toward the frivolous or the edifying/ educational?

I expect the answer approaches 90-10 but I thought I'd ask. And ask if this seems a valid observation?
