Pat,

Yes, I am bitter, but not for the reasons you mention....what I am bitter about is that almost 1 million people were hacked to death while the world stood by and when it could have been easily stopped. I'm bitter because human beings were hearded into churches and schools and killed and when the killers grew tired they left and then came back after resting. Those inside didn't even try to escape because they believed it to be pointless. I'm bitter because when Belgium pulled out you can see the horror in the faces of the Rwandan's who are left behind knowing their fate.

But what really makes me bitter is when the Republican Party trots out Iraqi human rights abuses to bolster up their claims of a need to invade Iraq. Let's be honest here, human rights has never been an interest of the Republican Party platform.

The list is long to prove this.......Almost all of Central America, China in '89 and on and on.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying Republicans are void of compassion, only that the platform of the Republican Party has a void when it comes to true human rights. It's too messy for them to get a hold of.

And I believe Rwanda is one of Clinton's greatest failures and was surprised when he wasn't pummeled with it and it offers no solace when a while back our Compassionate Conservative in Chief said he too would not have intervened in Rwanda.
