Justin Currie Revisited
My copy of the CD showed up just in time to go with me on a 2.5 hour drive (and then back today) so I was able to give it a few uninterrupted spins.Overall--Very much not a Del Amitri-ish effort. Most of the Dels appear on it in some form or fashion, but the songwriting and production are very different from what might be expected. All of the tunes are mid-tempo or slower, there is not much guitar but a lot of strings, and an awful lot of introspective questioning with no real answers.And speaking of greatest movie soundtracks, the Plant/Krauss album is undoubtedly the best soundtrack to a movie no one has made yet. The whole thing has adventure, spirit, atmosphere, and passion all the way through.
