Hokay...I've heard folks weeping over the hibernating, but surely not deceased Burn Unit. I don't know
what to do about that...chat it up, and decide on something. IN that vein however, I did dig up my JD Souther vinyls, and digitalize 'em so I have a very nice JD
compilation on CD ....a full 74 minutes with that analog old-album sound. My discs are real clean
since I use a vacuum record cleaning machine, so the sound is pretty pristine, and I don't have to
worry about somebody remastering ol' JD and ruining the original sound. It has Faithless Love and
Last in Love on it, plus a whole lot more. Basically, it's the complete LP's Black Rose and You're Only
Lonely with one track from Home by Dawn on it. Sooo, boys n' girlz, whoever wants one, Email me pronto and I'll ship. And, I wish for nothing in
return, really. Stephen gets one, no matter what, and whether he wants one or not....because I was
thinking of the nice comments he made when we were discussing JD Souther a ways back. There are a couple tracks that have the most luscious instrumentation on it, that it'll make you weep
with joy. Don Grolnick, piano and arrangements (RIP Don...you were da' man), Donald Byrd trumpet/
flugelhorn, Stanley Clarke acoustic bass. My only apology is the scratches on Silver Blue...take it in
spirit though folks, lower the lights and make sure you've got a great cocktail going, and some
Kleenex for the tears after you hear that one. Oh Gawd, it doesn't get any better than that. Gene Geno
