It's definitely a symbiotic relationship and there is the theory that she married him (one reason) because she knew (then) there was no chance of a woman running for President. I'm more pissed about the general population of women getting money and prestige from their mates than her in particular. I've just known too too many of them. As for her, her politically expedient nature is by far the bigger turn off.
