HBO is currently airing the fifth and final season of The Wire. I can't stress enough when it comes to the quality of this show and strongly encourage people to watch this show. Seasons 1-4 are currently on DVD. This show has it all - tragedy, humor, pain, disgust, quality. All of it. And when it comes to urban policing and urban politics - you can tell the creators of the show have done time in the trenches because for those of us who try to do good, all of the bureaucratic roadblocks are well portrayed. And for a little teaser, here is a link/clip of one of the most talked about scenes from this show...be forewarned, it shows photographs of female nudity and the main dialog is based almost entirely on variations of the number one curse word that starts with the letter "f".....
