yep, Reg, well said.  & I know of which you speak when you talk of villainous fuckwrenched goons we knew growing up who…became cops…after all.  Says far too much about the mindset of far too many of them with guns and knocksticks and other terrific weapons of singular destruction & abduction and the benefit of the doubt in the the $ blinded eyes of the "law."  It’s a perty thick blue line that says far too much.  But then we see or imagine those who are far closer to, well, …paladins (or the like) in mindset; taking their own lives in their hands in the wee early witching hours for something they stand for. & what can they do to stop the other half who rape & despoil on & off camera?  Call me naïve, but I believe they are out there.  Intelligent people with badges & conscience.   & they are probably not in the limelight at all, for the most part.  What will they do, what can they do on behalf of the justice of their higher calling, while hanging on to their income and benefits certainly important to each individual in this weary old world?

I don’t know, I wore a military uniform as a younger man (boy/kid/aggregate youth), but it was a peacetime service and I never had to walk into a gunfight or up to a blacked-out van.  So, here’s to those who DO THE RIGHT THING, those who might agree to the following:

One of those officers should have stood between that woman & injustice and said, “No! This will not be happening here today!  Not this way!  Not EVER AGAIN!  Not on my watch!  Now back away….”

The credo is …Protect & Serve!  Not …throttle truth & serve citations!
