There is a story emerging that long time Republican operative Roger Stone (for those that don't know who this clown is, he is "conservative swinger" from when way back he and his wife got caught up in a spouse swapping circle, among other things) is involved in the tipping off of Spitzer and his whoremongering.

Now my "what if" question is, what if this tipster led to the use of Patriot Act tools to catch Spitzer, instead of the reported anomalies in his banking practices alerting the Feds.

(My own view is this: anyone who acts one way in public and uses their morality as a basis for their behavior better be the same moral person in private. Spitzer is clearly a hypocrite and did the right thing by resigning. I have no use for his type, republican or democrat. I am greatly disappointed though that we did have a person going after the crooks on Wall Street and this person has turned out to be a sham in one part.)
