I think he has a better chance of making viper soup than any politician I've seen since RFK. He's a hell
of a lot more than a speaker. And he'll have all those nifty unitary executive powers that Bushco will
be leaving behind. He's a cool wind, just the antidote for a house of cards. We're approaching the
zero-sum game, and niceties will be the first casualty. I suspect that his version of nice will be the
kind that I'd lazily rhyme with knife. Whoever takes this office will be inheriting a shitstorm the likes
of which hasnt been seen since Hoover staggered from office, and the vipers will just be a small part
of the problem, and one easily dealt with, in the larger scheme of things. Speaking of the larger
scheme of things, jolly good of Bushco to leave the White House so well-supplied with such a wide
range of deadly, dictatorial-type weaponry. (Assuming they don't nuke Iran in the meantime, of
course.) Though on the nice side of things, I hope Obama reaches out to Edwards and offers him
Attorney General. He needs Edwards' support, and the man would make a kick-ass activist AG, which
God knows we need about now.
