Yeah, I don't think Obama hangs on every word Jeremiah Wright has said, and he also did say in his recent speech that he abhorred the hate comments in the Wright sermon in question. He did sit in the guy's church for over 20 years, and that also doesn't mean he agrees with everything Wright has said. I don't like everything I hear coming out of my Rabbi's mouth, but I have gone to the same synagogue for the past 10 years or so, mainly out of necessity...cause it's the only show in town, and I take what I need and leave the rest. Obama has done the same. In the final analysis, Obama is not going to get hurt from the Wright episode, most of the noise has quieted down. Wright has said some rascist and hateful things, but apparently he has also done a lot of good work in the community, and not all of his sermons were in the same vein. I still don't see how he can be equated with MLK though.
