I've noted that in the couple of photos of DB with fans in the gallery section, that he seems rather dysphoric or "not there". Perhaps it was road fatigue, or that he was thinking of something/someone else at the time. 

I had a similar experience when I asked Jackson Browne to take a photo with me after a show some years ago.  The picture came back showing my beaming face, but Jackson seemed to have this vague stare.  Perhaps it reflected his disaffectation or boredum.  In any event, after meeting him, and attempting to "talk" with/to him, I concluded that he just might be an asshole.  But I was probably over-reacting to his uninvolvement with the whole "fan" thing.  He probably had other things on his mind, at the time.   We're only human, afterall.
