I noticed it too, but I think it's mainly that those were the areas where Will thought McCain weakest.  There's no question that his queries to Obama were more incisive, but that betrays his essentially conservative position.  Nonetheless, both sets of questions to the candidates were valid (I think), and I'd like to hear some answers in the fall campaign.
