Yeah, Herr....I'm amazed at how his writing has developed in just such a short time. The first time I met Mike, he was hangin' with his homies, on the family ski trip.. I get together with his Dad at his Dads ski trip, where I first met him. He was into guitar then, but just to listen, and wasn't playing or anything. Certainly wasn't writing songs. He was mainly into skiing (and he's an expert skier),his girflfriend and partying. Somewhere along the way he had an epiphany of sorts, and gave up life in the fast lane, got married, and he and his wife have what I would call a very different way of living. They are both vegan vegetarian and very eco conscious. He lives in an Eco village, and is a very dedicated Social Worker. The music was something he played around with from time to time. Last I spoke to Jay, his Dad, Jay said something along the lines of, y'know Mike is really seriously writing songs these days, and that some club in NYC wanted to book him after hearing that song on a songwriter's site. He was supposed to go, and then couldn't come up with the cash for the trip and bagged it...which I think is a real pity. As a matter of fact when I Emailed him about putting the song up here, he sounded like he'd shelved doing more with the music, so I hope the response here gives him a shot in the arm. I hope he does get to chat with David. I have another of Mike's songs, which I can put up here later.
