“Environmentalists are Gaia’s priests, instructing us in her proper service and casting out those who
refuse to genuflect... And having proclaimed the ultimate commandment—carbon chastity—they
are
preparing the supporting canonical legislation that will tell you how much you can travel, what kind
of
light you will read by, and at what temperature you may set your bedroom thermostat.” —Charles
Krauthammer
And just for the record, we keep our heat at 55º during the winter. Meaning, we choose to
wear
sweaters rather than waste our resources in an area we can control(a market driven solution I
suppose), whereas on the other hand all the social agencies(sic) are crying about how Washington
isn't
providing enough fuel assistance(which I would be ashamed to accept-there was a good reason for
the stigma's associated with government handouts. Now look how many hands are out, including
corporate. Most poor people could, and would, work harder, were there more incentives than
freebies.
Jesus said, the poor will always be with us, but the scripture also teaches, if they won't work, they
don't eat.
Study to show thyself approved.... The last time I provided documentation I got some return
yammering to the effect it wasn't valid, presumably because they didn't want to accept what was
written.
peaceably
ps For the record, I'm not familiar with the gentleman quoted, but I absolutely believe the
statement,
excepting I would generalize less, as for some folks it isn't religion or politics but like sustainability
it
seems reasonable until you locate the source of the motives that spawned the movement which
tends
toward the leadership. I'd provide quotes but there's no disabusing denial.Back to the great outdoors, the planting is almost done, and it's almost time for the fall starts, wow
what a learning curve and Mickster, them peas are flowers and music to my ears, sure do wish I
could email you, and everyone herein a few pounds, cause I would!
