Also, Obama might not even need a win in Florida or Ohio to capture the crown. It will likely be a
landslide, and personally I have moved past the question of whether he will win or not, to how our
country and our world will shape up post election. The issues are much larger than who is going to
be President. Economy is the number one concern, the gas "crisis" (namely our alternatives to OIL),
the war (it needs to end), healthcare (it is not a broken system, but one that can and needs to be
strengthened), etc.... and, more importantly will I ever be able to get a decent smoked meat
sandwich here, complete with mustard already on the rye bread, a juicy big Knish, and a decent
Bagel (yes, Montreal style...there really is no other).
From what I just heard, Mr Obama isn't winning Ohio. If I understood correctly, Ohio's
Governor is
not going to support him.
Other than that I agree that the Presidency itself is of little concern.
The economy is going to tank.
Petrol will continue to increase and thus increase the cost of everything connected to it(which
I
suspect will be the final blow to the economy, and the beginning of America's third world status).
I think the most immediate 'Alternative to oil' will be those who can afford it will, and the rest will
be taking the bus(if they're fortunate) or wishing they had a bike. Thus increasing the North
American supply, lol.
The war is not ending, the USG is trying to negotiate a treaty with Iraq for the purpose of
expanding
the number of permanent bases we will have therein. That is the plan for Iraq for decades to
come(there are plenty of similar examples). IT IS ABOUT OIL in the way controlling critical
resources for the purpose of manipulating global governmental relationships. The thrust of this
foreign policy initiative isn't going to change with a new figurehead in the office, it's
institutionalized(& who wants to admit failure in the state department either).
Frankly, I think nukes will fly, and their will be no winners in the that area of the globe.
The Federal Government is the biggest problem with healthcare, driving up costs like they
always
do.
Might I recommend Boars Head for that sandwich Sir.
enjoy
