I won my Strat replica. ( may I be excused ? )
It's audiographed by Lynyard Skynard. It actually has very pleasing action and playability.
( Peavey Predator )It was a while back, before I mostly gave up arena rock and commercial radio. The local classic rock station was doing one of those contests where you had to be caller number so & so to get registered to win this guitar.
I never tried because those things are too irritating. lolSo, I'm going to the show and right outside the venue, the radio station has their mobile unit parked near the entrance. I walked up and they were taking registration for the contest, I filled out a slip and dropped in the KFC chicken bucket, which was almost full.I started up the steps to the venue and they called my name. lol
After all people went through to get "registered" on air, they just plucked my name right off the top of the pile in that bucket. They take me back stage where I had a brief meet & greet with Billy Powell, Gary Rossington and Randall Hall.My fanship for the band had slipped many degrees long before this event but, hey,I like free guitars.
