I was a college freshman. It was devastating.
We went out in a street theatre troupe - to malls,
supermarkets. And the university shut down - admin
building occupied, angry loud meetings in the Chapel,
marching with rent garments and ash strewn dolls.
Although it sounds corny, it was sincere, involving,
energizing and we believed our collective voice mattered.
And, that it spoke for others besides ourselves.Where have all the flowers gone?
