Well, I would not doubt that it may be true that Edwards did have an affair but from what I've seen and read nobody has any proof of this. The photos at the link you posted have been said to be some doctored work out photos of Edwards. They are "spy photos" in that somebody snapped photos of Edwards working out but the "paper" that is trumpeting them is claiming their goal with these is to "see how the Edwards camp reacts."

Basically, I would not be shocked if Edwards is involved with another woman but I think what you're seeing is an attempt to use bullshit to smoke him out. Also I think they have used some care in how they worded what they say about these photos with the specfic idea that they can deny saying these were actual photos of Edwards with his "love child."

Anyway, this is what they want, they want us to talk about it...so in a way we are letting them win going down this road.
