At present, the Volt is predicted to be a 40-Thousand Dollar automobile. At 8-hundred buckaroos a month for 6 years, there won’t likely be many “average commuters” seen driving it. The only people who could (realistically) afford this vehicle would be people so (disposable-cash) wealthy they don’t really give a ratatouille about gas costs ~~ unless the Volt will supplement their STS and give them that hip & green feeling every once in a while.
Counterintuitive indeed. Not to be a spoilsport, as there's much to be admired in the efforts & breakthroughs.
