But lets not pretend as if the Republicans are "all that."  They had a golden chance for six years while they controlled both the presidency and congress.  And where was their vaunted fiscal conservatism?  Highest budget deficits of all time.  This, as much as anything else, makes Bush a failure as President.  But we could go on . . .
