We talked on this list a while back about the KGSR LIVE Vol. 10 cd.....
I was very impressed by a track on this set by Bob Schneider, who I knew nothing about.
A few nights ago I had an opportunity to download a live show from SXSW by Bob Schneider and Lonelyland recorded at the Saxon Pub. ( I understand they play there every Monday )
You Austinites probably are aware of these guys, if not, shame on you, get your ass down to Saxon's.Man, this band is hot, they do it all from southern rock, alt. country, salsa, Punk Hop... words wont do them justice. Check 'em out, you'll be glad you did.
A few tunes even bring David to mind.Be warned though, they have a lot of explicit lyrics and banter. One song I would rate as XXX even.Look for Scab, The Ugly Americans or Lonleyland.I haven't been this excited about a new musical discovery in a long time. I've downloaded about 6 shows. (and oredered some official releases as well )If you have the ability to download and know .shn you can go to http://www.archive.com and download quite a few of Bob's shows. ( but please, go buy the official stuff if your as stoked as I am )block
