Because Palin is still in her 15 minutes of fame afterglow. By October, this will settle down to more media coverage of Obama vs. McCain rather than something else. I think.
I think you maybe understimating this woman as is the press and the whole Democratic party. When Biden withdraws there is clearly only one reason.
