Yep, it's scary, but war with Iran may be inevitable. And yes, it could result in wider conflict, but
ignoring Iran, won't make it go away. A pre-emptive strike may be a difficult, but necessary
decision, and a decision I would support if intelligence shows us that an Iraq warhead readiness is
imminent..and we are headed in that direction. No way is Ahmadinejad going to show all his cards.
Obama is planning to have discourse with Ahmadinejad, which although laudable/laughable, is
probably futile, and he will see that in short order. if elected, he will be faced with the same decision
as McCain, and he will come to the same conclusion, although of course he won't mention it in his
election platform.
After Iraq, there will be 2 other military fronts, which also won't go away. Afghanistan is heating up
more than ever before, and I'm sure McCain is already planning on it, but Obama is also committed to
sending more troops there; he has said so. Next is Pakistan. The recents act of terrorism in
Islamabad, and Yemen are testament to the darker times ahead of us.
The likeliest scenario for Iran, is an airstrike by Israel to level the reactor(s), and all that will take is a
nod from the new commander in chief...which, I believe will be a certainty sooner than we think,
whether it's McCain or Obama.
