Hey, we just watched To Kill a Mockingbird the other night! & African Queen. & then I had a Boo Radley moment yesterday morning, …but not today, so that’s good. I can't think of a particular flick to put here in answer to your query. Hmm... how about...
Well, ...there’s this rug here that … ties the room together.
But seriously, offhand I’d say that anecdote within … Dances With Wolves … bleeds much into my own philosophical notions. & Uncle Buck. & Scorchers as a metaphor for the depth of understanding of an earnest father. Are you willing to expand on To Kill a Mockingbird, Andrea? Don’t judge a book by it’s cover? What? I’m genuinely fascinated by this post……….

That plan is no more farfetched than say hijacking the sanctity of the great American democracy twice, or however many times past and perhaps future.
Don’t hold your breath though ~~ but you know.
It’s more like an American “promise” rather than an American “dream” concept that isn’t likely to EVER be adopted. Figure it would blast the entire country off, though. & the whole world would be blown away. There’d be an It’s a Wonderful Life atmosphere abound & probably many would do some good with it. …& others would shoot it into their arms ~~ and … uh … that would still help the economy in a roundabout way. I just don’t ever see it flying in the company of the $800.00 toilet seat crowd and their beancounters and pundits and minor minions. Would be historical though. Feasible even. Well, feasible in a sorta unreasonable George Bernard Shaw kinda way. Could turn the heads of life forms from galaxies far-far-away………………..
